A large pile of cardboard boxes that once stored EV charging equipment have been found dumped in a council car park.

The boxes appeared earlier this week in the Orange Street car park, off Leeds Road in Bradford.

Images on the boxes showed they previously contained parts relating to electric vehicle chargers.

Bradford Council said it had been made aware of the fly-tipping, which would be removed if it was found to be on council-owned land.

A spokesperson said: "Fly-tipping is an unnecessary blight on our communities, and we are committed to tackling it wherever it occurs.

"Environmental enforcement officers will examine the waste for evidence, after which it will be referred to (the cleansing team) for clearance."

They added: "We use a range of measures to crack down on fly-tippers, including the use of cameras to deter offenders, capture vital evidence, and prevent further incidents."

They urged anyone with information to get in touch, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.
