Plans for 172 new homes have been submitted as part of the Great Haddon development near Peterborough.

The wider development, which was first approved by Peterborough City Council in 2015, will eventually comprise 5,350 homes, a shopping centre, three primary schools and a secondary school.

The homes would be on land to the north of Norman Cross, London Road, near Yaxley.

Vistry East Anglia has submitted the application to Peterborough City Council.

It is proposing that 28 of the homes would be affordable, with the provision split between affordable rent and shared ownership, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

There would be one-bed homes, two and three-bed terrace, semi-detached and detached houses, and four-bed large family homes.
