New performing arts hub seeks alcohol licence
GoogleThe owner of a new creative and performing arts hub due to open in a village has applied to the council for an alcohol licence.
Live @ The Academy CIC said it planned to turn a warehouse at the Enterprise Business Park in Yaxley, Peterborough, into an entertainment and youth arts venue for the local community
The applicant has sought permission from Huntingdonshire District Council to sell alcohol on the premises until 23:30 on Fridays and Saturday and until 22:30 on Sundays.
It has also requested permission to host live music on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight and Sundays until 23:00.
When open, the applicant said the venue would host live events and tribute acts and could also be used for community hire and youth training.
Anyone who wanted to have a say on the application can make their representation to the Huntingdonshire District Council by 6 March.
