GoogleDrivers have been warned of disruption on the main road between the Manx capital and the west of the island after part of the TT course was closed to allow for roadside trees to be safely felled.
The emergency closure on the A1 has been put in place in the area of Greeba Castle, in Crosby, between the junction of Rhenny Mooar Lane and The Highlander.
The work, to be carried out by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture, includes the removal of several large trees.
Traffic is set to be diverted through Foxdale, with the closure in place until 15:30 GMT and pedestrian access also forbidden.
Bus Vannin said its service on the route would not be stopping at Marown TV or any stops in Crosby and Greeba.
A diversion for Peel-bound traffic has been put in place at Braddan Bridge, with traffic beyond that point turned off at Glen Darargh Road.
For traffic heading in the opposite direction into Douglas, a diversion has been put in place at Ballacraine.
