Fresh appeal after man badly hurt in hit-and-run
GoogleWitnesses are being asked if they saw any vehicles acting suspiciously, after a pedestrian was found with serious injuries on a road.
The man had been hit by a vehicle on Elson Road in Ellesmere, Shropshire, between 00:40 and 01:50 GMT on 24 January, a West Mercia Police spokesperson said.
The vehicle did not stop at the scene and the man, aged in his 40s, suffered life‑changing injuries.
Officers are looking to speak to anyone who saw the man walking from the Ellesmere Hotel towards Eastwick along the B5068 during the early hours of that night or who might have dashcam footage.
The force is also appealing for information about any vehicles seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time - or any vehicle that might have suffered damage consistent with the hit-and-run.
"Our investigation is ongoing to establish what happened on 24 January and exactly how the victim came to be injured," PC Mark Smith said.
