Ambulance service gets 106 new vehicles
SCASSouth Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) has a new fleet of over 100 ambulances.
The 106 double-crewed emergency vehicles have replaced older ambulances at SCAS.
The service that covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire has received the vehicles as part of a £75m project funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
The new ambulances have been brought in to improve response times and reliability - kitted out with the latest safety tech they are lighter, more fuel efficient and produce fewer emissions.
The new vehicles are among over 500 ambulances delivered across every region of England since June this year.
