A child pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a sport utility vehicle.

Norfolk Police was called to Lynn Road in Weeting, near Brandon, at about 17:30 GMT on Saturday. The incident involved a blue Dacia Duster.

The force said the child, whose age has not been released, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. The road was closed for nearly nine hours while emergency services, including an air ambulance, attended.

Officers have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage.
