Over 70 projects shortlisted in architecture awards
RIBABritain's oldest brewery and the Slovakian embassy are among 76 London projects shortlisted for architectural awards.
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) London Awards celebrate architecture that offers "innovative approaches to urban regeneration", Dian Small, its regional director for London, said.
All of the shortlisted projects will be visited by a regional jury with winners announced this spring.
Ms Small said: "These projects provide hope for the future of our cities.
“From small-scale refurbishments and self-build family homes in south London, to revitalised cultural centres in the west, and re-imagined industrial heritage sites in the north, the projects highlight the diversity of London’s rich architectural heritage, but remain united in their commitment to social value and sustainable design.”
The winners of regional awards will then be considered for several RIBA Special Awards, including the RIBA Sustainability Award and RIBA Building of the Year, before being considered for the National Award, which will be announced in the summer.
