Southampton has been chosen to host the UK's Pride event in 2027.

The city was successful in its bid to host the free event which is set to feature a national Pride march through the city centre and performances from drag artists and musicians.

Portsmouth held the celebration last year and Newport, South Wales, has been selected to host UK Pride in September. UK Pride is awarded annually to a different host by the Board of Trustees at UK Pride Organisers Network.
