Roads remain closed after man dies in house fire
BBCRoad closures remain in place after the death of a man in a house fire.
Emergency services found the man inside a property just off Cirencester Road in Chalford, near Stroud, Gloucestershire, at about 22:20 GMT on Monday. His next of kin have been informed, police said.
About 20 properties were evacuated and a police cordon is still in place around the home.
Cirencester Road and Gypsy Lane are closed and are not expected to reopen until Friday, police said, and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
The news comes just weeks after a mother and her two children died in a house fire in nearby Brimscombe. Supt Anton Campbell said he did not "underestimate the further upset this will likely cause to our staff and a community already grieving".
