Disruption between Birmingham New Street and Nuneaton is expected until 10:00 GMT

Rail passengers are facing delays and cancelled trains due to a signalling fault.

All lines between Nuneaton and Birmingham New Street are affected by the fault with the signalling system, CrossCountry Trains said.

Train services scheduled to travel between the two stations may be cancelled, delayed or diverted via Coleshill Parkway, it added.

Disruption was expected until about 10:00 GMT, with passengers urged to check their journeys before travelling.

Tickets can be used at no extra cost on West Midlands Railway services between Nuneaton and Coventry and Avanti West Coast services between Coventry and Birmingham New Street, National Rail said.

"If you decide to travel from a different station due to this disruption and need to return to that station later, you will also be able to use your existing ticket to do this at no extra cost," a spokesperson added.
