Three arrests after man seriously hurt in shooting

Three men have been arrested after a man was seriously injured in a shooting.

Emergency services were called after the 19-year-old was shot in the leg on Bearwood Road, Birmingham, at about 01:30 GMT on Wednesday.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains, West Midlands Police said.

Three men were detained on suspicion of violent disorder, the force added, and a cordon remains in place at the scene as inquiries continue.
