A police officer has been given a temporary driving ban after their car became stuck on a guided busway while responding to an emergency.

The car became wedged in a car trap on Station Road in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, at 00:40 GMT on Saturday.

It was recovered by 03:00 and no-one was injured, the force said.

An investigation into what happened is due to take place.
