Two men have been charged after a man was killed in a road crash in the early hours of Monday morning.

Sylvester Abayomi, 50, died in a two-car collision shortly after 04:30 GMT on Kingsway in Burnage, Manchester.

Uways Hussain, 20 and of Burnage, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death by driving a vehicle whilst uninsured, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and driving without insurance.

Usmon Mahmood, 23 and of Levenshulme, is accused of aiding and abetting causing death by dangerous driving, aiding and abetting causing death by driving a vehicle whilst uninsured, and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Both have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court later.
