Attempted murder arrest after man hurt in shooting

Four men are in custody following the incident on 1 December

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting in Huddersfield.

West Yorkshire Police said the victim, who is in his 30s, was taken to hospital after being shot in the leg and shoulder in Smiths Avenue, Marsh, on 1 December. He has since been discharged.

Officers said a 19-year-old man was being held on suspicion of attempted murder and three other men had also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on Friday.

The arrests were carried out at properties in Bradford, Brighouse and Halifax, a police spokesperson said.
