PC Peter De Silvo has been suspended from duty, Sussex Police say

A Sussex police officer has been charged with stalking and fraud offences, the force says.

PC Peter De Silvo, 48, is alleged to have stalked a woman known to him for two years between October 2021 and 2023.

He has also been charged with fraud by false representation, two counts of computer misuse and five charges under the Data Protection Act, the earliest dating back to 2018, a Sussex Police spokesperson said.

De Silvo, who is suspended from duty, is due to appear at Staines Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Sussex Police say misconduct proceedings will be considered after criminal proceedings have concluded.
