Tributes paid to 'deeply loved mum' killed in crash

The family of a mother who was killed in a car crash have paid tribute to her as someone who "would do anything for others".

Suzanne Wilmot, 60, died in a collision with a suspected drink or drug driver in Rudford, Forest of Dean, at about 17:20 GMT on 30 December.

Mrs Wilmot, from Gloucester, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her family described her as "a deeply loved mum, wife, sister, daughter, aunt and great aunt".

"The number of family and friends who will miss her are a testament to how wonderful she was," they said.

In their tribute, the family continued: "She would do anything for others and was always making us laugh.

"We will treasure the memories we have of her and are grateful for the family time we all got to spend with her over Christmas."

A man in his 50s from Cheltenham was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink and/or drugs, Gloucestershire Police said.

He was later released under investigation in order to be treated at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for multiple fractures, police said.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam footage or other information they believe to be relevant, is asked to contact police.
