City's family hubs to receive £6m funding

Coventry City Council said the money will also support its 'Start For Life' healthy babies programme.
The services hosted in the family hubs are free of charge to users, including computer access, data banks, travel schemes and warm spaces.
The new funding will come from the Department for Education and Department for Health and Social Care provisional three-year allocation of £6,117,000.
The council is set to publish its 'Best Start Local Plan' before next month and show how the funding will be used.
Councillor Pat Seaman, the cabinet member for children and young people, said it was good news for the city.
Speaking at Tuesday's cabinet meeting, she said: "Since April 2022, Coventry has been one of 75 local authorities championing the 'Start For Life' programme and over that period of time we have received £6m in grants.
"Coventry is also one of 13 trailblazer sites across England and, as such, have received national recognition and have also contributed to evaluations. We have been doing a great job."
A council report about the community hubs programme said that the government had committed to making sure that every child had the best start in life.
