The council said people fly-tipping are letting the city down

People fly-tipping in Coventry "continue to let the city down", said the council as it posts CCTV footage carrying out the illegal act.

Residents dumping mattresses, fold-up beds and bags of rubbish have been posted on the council's 'wall of shame' on Facebook as the authority tries to identify the perpetrators.

The rubbish was captured being dumped on Caudon Road, Holmsdale Road, Edgewick Road and Hartlepool Road.

The council asked members of the public to email them if they recognised anyone in the footage.

Fly-tipping is the dumping of rubbish on private or council-owned land without permission, or rubbish dumped on land where the owners do not have a Waste Management Licence.

The post said: "People across the city continue to let the city down. If you recognise anyone in this video, please email us."
