Police officer charged with off-duty sex offences

Getty ImagesA West Yorkshire Police officer has been charged with sexual offences and is due to appear in court next week.
PC Russell Grifford, 42, who was based in the Kirklees district, was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of attempted sexual assault, a force spokesperson said.
The charges related to off-duty offences and PC Grifford was currently suspended, they added.
The officer was expected to appear before Bradford Magistrates' Court on 6 January, according to West Yorkshire Police.
