Woman dies in reported home explosion
BBCA woman has died following a suspected explosion at a home, police have said.
Wiltshire Police said officers, along with ambulance and fire crews, were called to reports of an explosion at an address on Orchard Crescent, Chippenham, at about 15:20 GMT.
A woman in her 40s was declared dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said two crews from Chippenham attended the scene but no action was required.
They confirmed fire investigators were assisting the ongoing police inquiries and would be "providing a report to the coroner in due course".
The police added: "There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death."
