As February arrives, our BBC Weather Watchers in the south of England have been out capturing the beauty of the Snow Moon - the first full moon of the month and one long rooted in winter folklore.

The Snow Moon takes its name from the typically heavy snowfall seen at this time of year, a tradition traced through Native American, Colonial American and European naming customs.

February's full moon often marked a period of deep winter, when snow lay thick on the ground and food was scarce, which is why some cultures also called it the Hungry Moon or Storm Moon

Join us as we take a few moments to enjoy the beauty of the Snow Moon from Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Dorset and Hampshire.
