The North East and Cumbria have been gripped by sub-zero temperatures and early morning frosts over the last few days.

Ice has been forming on rivers and freezing ponds, animals have been grazing amidst the snow and clear nights have meant some beautiful sunrises.

Weather Watchers have captured the full range of winter sights at many spots around the region.
