Kyum Raham, 23, from Swindon has been jailed

A man who trafficked three teenagers in order to use them as drug runners has been jailed for five years and seven months.

Kyum Raham, 23, of Northern Road, Rodbourne Cheney in Swindon, Wiltshire, groomed the victims, who were all under 16, on apps like Snapchat with offers of cash.

He then arranged for them to be trafficked around Swindon to deal cannabis and cocaine.

Raham was jailed at Swindon Crown Court on Thursday after admitting three offences under the Modern Slavery Act, and two counts of supplying illegal drugs.

As well as a jail term, Raham was also made the subject of a Slavery and Trafficking Prevention Order (STPO) for the next 10 years.

It aims to prevent abusers from re-offending by restricting their travel, contact with certain people or possession of specific electronic devices.

Raham must tell police immediately of any change of address, provide them with his social media account details and his mobile phone number.

He is also barred from having any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18, including online.

Detective Insp Champion of the Serious Organised Crime Unit said: "[Raham] is a predator who exploited the victims for his own gain, tempting them with money and arranging their travel around Swindon to deal drugs on his behalf.

"I'd like to commend the officers involved for their determination and diligent work in securing the STPO and for their investigation which has led to Raham being put behind bars."
