Tributes paid to new dad killed in head-on crash
Humberside PoliceA man who died in a head-on crash in East Yorkshire was a new father, his family said.
Patrick Shaughnessy, 27, was one of two men who died following the collision involving a Land Rover and a Ford Transit on the A614, near Holme-on-Spalding Moor, shortly before 22:00 GMT on Sunday.
In a statement released by Humberside Police, Shaughnessy's family described him as "a deeply loved son, grandson and proud new daddy".
Officers said Shaughnessy and the other man, aged 55, had been travelling in the Land Rover and were pronounced dead at the scene.
Shaughnessy's family added: "His kindness, laughter and fierce love for his family and friends will be carried in our hearts forever."
The van driver - a 31-year-old man - was taken to hospital with injuries described as "life-changing", police said.
Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant dash cam footage to contact them.
