Two men have died and a third left seriously injured following a head-on crash in East Yorkshire, police said.

Emergency services were called shortly before 22:00 GMT on Sunday to reports of a collision involving a Land Rover and a Ford Transit on the A614 near Holme-on-Spalding Moor.

The deceased, aged 27 and 55, were travelling in the Land Rover, said Humberside Police.

The van driver - a 31-year-old man - was taken to hospital with injuries police described as "life-changing".

Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant dash cam footage to contact them.

The road was closed to allow emergency services to work but has now reopened, the force said.
