A second man has been arrested after a pedestrian in his 60s was killed while crossing a road.

The man was struck in Bath Road in Calcot, Berkshire, at about 06:30 GMT on 26 November. He died at the scene.

A 27-year-old man from Reading was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision. He has since been bailed.

A 41-year-old, also from Reading, was arrested last week on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and was released pending further inquiries.

Sgt Matt Cadmore, of Thames Valley Police, said its investigation was "ongoing and extremely complex".

He said the man's family is being supported by trained family liaison officers.

He asked anyone who saw what happened close to Lidl's car park between 06:20 and 06:40 on 26 November to get in touch with officers.
