Two people have been arrested in connection with a burglary which took place at a rugby club's clubhouse.

Ystradgynlais RFC was forced to cancel a number of events at its premises over Christmas after intruders smashed their way through its roof and stole money from the till, along with a large quantity of alcohol, on 26 December.

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that a 54-year-old male has been released on bail, while a 33-year-old female was currently in police custody.

A police spokesperson said enquiries are ongoing.
