Injured walker rescued after being cut off by tide
Ramsey RNLIAn injured walker has been rescued from a cliffside after becoming cut off by the tide between two beaches in the north of the Isle of Man.
Ramsey RNLI said the person and become stuck between Ballure Beach and Port Lewaigue and sustained a head injury in a fall at about 18:30 BST on Monday.
The lifeboat attended the area with crew members using an inflatable boat to reach the walker on the coast.
On return to the harbour the crew was met the coastguard before the walker was treated by the ambulance service.
Ramsey RNLIVolunteer coxswain Mark Kenyon said it was "always advisable to check tidal conditions before walking in areas likely to be compromised by high tides".
However, he said: "If you do find yourself in difficulties then do not hesitate to ask for assistance."
