Martin Ward at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital was closed in October after concerns were raised during environmental checks

A hospital ward which was shut for three months after a "pest control issue" was found in the building's roof has now reopened.

Martin Ward at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital's reopening was delayed in December after inspectors then found issues with the air and environmental quality.

Investigators have taken water samples, carried out a deep clean and tested the ventilation system, Manx Care said.

Skin and blood clinics have returned to the ward and patients are urged to attend the clinic unless told otherwise.

The ward's patients were moved to Ward 19 at Noble's Hospital in Braddan in October.

Other refurbishment works were also carried out, with services transferred to Noble's and the minor injuries unit in Ramsey was also temporarily closed.
