Watch: World War Two bomb detonated in field
A police force has released footage of the moment a German World War Two bomb was destroyed.
Officers were called to the river at Ely, Cambridgeshire, at about 12:40 GMT on New Year's Eve by a magnet fisher, who had been using a magnet attached to a rope to find metal objects.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team arrived and confirmed it was a bomb.
"A kind farmer allowed the teams to use his field for a controlled explosion and the bomb was disposed of safely," a police spokesperson said.
