Belfast: Man dies after fire at Edenvale Crescent
PacemakerA man has died following a fire at a house in east Belfast.
It happened at Edenvale Crescent, off Belmont Road, shortly after 20:00 GMT on Sunday.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said it deployed three fire appliances and the Fire Emergency Support Service to the incident.
"Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two jets to extinguish the fire," a statement from NIFRS said. They remained at the scene until 22:16.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The police said they want anyone with information about the blaze to contact them.
