Man sought after woman stabbed several times

A woman is in a serious condition after being stabbed several times with police making an appeal for information about her suspected attacker.

West Midlands Police said it was called to an address in Swanswell Street in Coventry just before 04:30 GMT, where the woman, in her 20s, was found and taken to hospital.

The force said following inquiries, 21 year-old Deara Sadiq was the prime suspect.

It added that he is from the Coventry area and appealed for information. If seen, police warn to contact them rather than approach him.
