Man seriously injured after van and lorry collide

A driver was seriously injured when a van and a lorry collided on a major A-road.

It happened on the A14 at Easton, near Huntingdon, at about 20:50 GMT on Monday.

Cambridgeshire Police said a white Peugeot Partner van and a white Volvo lorry were involved.

The van driver, a 46-year-old man from Coventry, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, with life-threatening injuries.

The lorry driver, a 62-year-old man from Purfleet in Essex, was not injured and remained at the scene.

Cambridgeshire Police has appealed for any witnesses to get in touch.
