A14 driver who died had medical event, says family
Cambridgeshire PoliceA man who died following a crash on the A14 suffered a "medical event," his family have said.
Jason Tholen, 54, from Waddington, Lincolnshire, was driving a Scania lorry carrying grain when it collided with a Suzuki SX4 on the A14 near Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, at about 06:45 GMT on 19 January.
The driver of the Suzuki, a man in his 30s, was uninjured, Cambridgeshire Police said.
"Jason unexpectedly passed away due to a sudden medical event while driving his lorry. He was loving, funny and made everyone around him smile, and will be missed a lot by all of his family, friends and colleagues," his family said.
Part of the A14 in Cambridgeshire was shut for more than five hours following the crash.
