More than 1,000 people are taking part in an event to celebrate Hull.

Our City started with a community-led procession and culminates in an evening event in Queen Victoria Square with music, dancing and performance.

Artistic director Louise Yates said: "It's celebrating everything that's wonderful about this place."

The event is directed by Hull-based arts charity Back to Ours and supported and funded by Hull City Council.
