Attempted murder arrest after reports of stabbing

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after reports of a stabbing in Surrey.

Officers were called to an address in Kenyngton Drive, Sunbury-on-Thames, at about 06:00 BST.

A woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition, said Surrey Police.

The arrested man, aged 38, has been taken in to police custody.

Surrey Police says all other options had been considered and were "unfortunately not viable".

Harrison Sullivan will not have to pay the full cost of the jet that police chartered to arrest him.

A total of 196 arrests were made last year during the same campaign, called Operation Limit.

Two vehicles - a lorry and a car - were involved in crashes with loose horses, according to police.
