Man subjected teenager to years of sexual abuse
Wiltshire PoliceA man has been jailed after subjecting a teenage girl to years of sexual abuse.
Stuart Miller, from Calne in Wiltshire, photographed his assaults and put his victim through a "long and traumatic" ordeal, police said.
The 36-year-old was jailed for 19 years at Swindon Crown Court earlier, after admitting 14 sexual offences against a child, including multiple rapes and making indecent images of children.
Det Investigator Francesca Mason of Wiltshire Police commended the victim for coming forward and "showing such strength".
Miller, from Church Street, targeted the teenager multiple times between October 2019 and September 2023, before she told a friend about the abuse and reported it to police.
He initially tried to hide the images of the assaults in a digital folder before forensic examiners found them, police said.
"Miller is a predatory offender who targeted the victim from a young age and continued to abuse her for years," Mason said.
"While nothing can undo what the victim has endured, I hope today's outcome offers her some sense of closure so she can begin to move forward with her life," she added.
Miller was told he would serve at least 14 years and eight months of his sentence behind bars, with the remainder of the time on licence.
He was also issued with a lifetime sexual harm prevention order and must sign the sex offenders register for life.
