Two arrested after man found shot in street

Two men have been arrested after a man was shot and suffered life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics found the man, aged in his 20s, in Wordsworth Road, Willenhall, at about 19:30 GMT and took him to hospital.

West Midlands Police arrested the men, aged 50 and 27, on suspicion of attempted murder and they remain in custody.

Officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and police patrols in the area have been stepped up to offer reassurance to local people, the force added.
