Major road shut after snow and collisions reopens

GooglePart of a key route in Derby was closed after being impacted by snow and "a number of collisions".
National Highways said the northbound carriageway of the A38 had been shut between the Kingsway roundabout and the A52 at Markeaton "due to the adverse weather conditions in the area" on Friday.
A statement said additional traffic officers had been deployed to remove snow and add more grit to the road surface.
Diversions were in place, and motorists were being advised to plan ahead and expect delays. Recovery, gritting and ploughing on the road are now complete, the agency added.
