Drone images have shown widespread flooding in a Dorset village following Storm Chandra.

The pictures, taken by Eric Bird, reveal homes still surrounded by water in Charminster, near Dorchester, after the River Cerne burst its banks.

Residents say it is the worst flooding they have seen in the village.

A meeting is being held later to discuss how the community can better prepare for further severe weather, with Charminster Parish Council confirming it is developing an official emergency plan.
