Dispersal orders in place to 'protect community'
PA MediaDispersal orders covering two town centres have been put in place in response to reports of anti-social behaviour.
The orders came into force in Nuneaton and Bedworth, in Warwickshire, at 20:05 GMT on Saturday and will be lifted at 20:04 GMT on Monday, police said.
They give additional powers to officers who can order people to leave the designated areas if they either cause or are likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
The action has been taken to "protect the community" and ensure the town centres remain safe, a post on the Nuneaton and Bedworth Police Facebook page said.
Anyone who refuses to comply with officers' requests to leave the area can be arrested, the post added.
The latest dispersal orders came into force shortly after a previous one covering Nuneaton town centre ended at about 18:30 GMT on Saturday.
