A dispersal order has been put in place in a town centre and some surrounding areas, after reports of anti-social behaviour.

Warwickshire Police said the order for Nuneaton town centre would be in place from 18:30 GMT on Thursday until Saturday at 18:29, covering an area from Nuneaton railway station to Riversley Park, between Jubilee Way and Vicarage Street.

The order gives their officers the power to tell people to leave the area if they cause or are likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress - those who do not obey, could be arrested.

Reports of anti-social behaviour on Thursday evening and in recent weeks had prompted the order, the force said.

At the top of the image the red section starts near the railway station, and stretches down the map and sits entirely over the top of a green park area at the bottom of the map. From left to right it stretches from part of a long road called Jubilee way, which travels in a large circle. The red stops on the right at Vicarage Street - directly opposite Jubilee Way on the large circular road network.Warwickshire Police

Officers said the order would protect the community and ensure the town centre remained a safe place to live, work and visit.
