Victorian Christmas Fayre returns in Worcester

- Costumed characters, such as Scrooge and Sherlock Holmes, will be present at various points over the four days
Worcester's Victorian Christmas Fayre returns on Thursday until 3 December.
Visitors can experience a Victorian Christmas with costumed characters, street magicians and stilt walkers present throughout.
Scrooge can even be seen wandering the event between 11:00 and 15:00 GMT this Sunday, alongside various other recognisable characters over the four days.
"Christmas in Worcester is always the best of fun and the festive magic doesn't get much better than our Victorian Christmas Fayre," said Councillor Louis Stephen, the Mayor of Worcester.
The event - which goes live on Thursday at 16:45 GMT - is in its 31st year and regularly attracts more than 150,000 visitors across its duration, according to Worcester City Council.
The festivities begin with a community carol service followed by a procession to the Cornmarket's carousel, where the event will be officially opened by councillor, Louis Stephen.
On Saturday, stilt-walking versions of Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson will make an appearance, with a pop-up dance performance by Dancefest taking place in the evening.
