Giant blue bunny attracts visitors to town centre
Shropshire CouncilA large statue of a bunny has appeared in a town centre as part of an Easter trail.
The pink and blue rabbit can be found in The Square in Shrewsbury, close to the statue of Clive of India.
The trail is co-produced by Shrewsbury BID, who installed the statue. Swan Hill Studios will be creating giant letters that will spell out the bunny's name.
Project lead Emma Molyneux said: "This trail is designed to get families out exploring the town centre together, discovering brilliant businesses along the way and hopefully enjoying the spring sunshine!"
She added: "We think the giant bunny is fabulous and we're thrilled by the public response already."
People can follow the Spring celebration trail until 12 April, hunting for nine letters hidden in businesses around the town to spell out the bunny's name.
Trail maps can be collected from Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery, as well as nine participating businesses.
There are also £50 vouchers available for three people who correctly guess the name of the giant rabbit.
To tie in with the trail, Swan Hill Studios is also hosting a free spring crafts day on Tuesday 31 March.
