A woman has used Lego bricks to recreate a miniature version of the Cambridgeshire village she lives in.

Jo Thompson, from Linton, has been building her brick spectacle since September and included landmarks known to locals.

She started making the creative scenes in her house four years ago and displays them to passers-by thanks to a large window at the front of the former shop.

Ms Thompson, 41, said: "It is joyful to see everyone else's enjoyment and we keep the curtains open the whole time."

Ms Thompson said she was already thinking about next year's display

Ms Thompson bought a winter themed Lego set back in 2009 and has been adding to her collection ever since.

The model village is lit up with LED lights, so people walking past in the dark can enjoy it.

The model village even includes a local kebab van

This year was the first time Ms Thompson added local items of interest - including the village bakery and even a kebab van.

"I think they're really enjoying the little nods to our village... I think that's what people can relate to.

"I'm already thinking about next year because I get under pressure when it gets to the beginning of December and I haven't got it out in the window... people have started asking now."
