Worcester Cathedral's Christmas visitor numbers beat the previous year's total by more than 13,000 people

Worcester Cathedral has revealed it achieved record visitor numbers for its Christmas tree festival in 2025, surpassing the previous record set in 2024 by more than 13,000.

In total, 75,000 people attended the event which showcased multiple, decorated trees under one roof - and about 100 more than in 2024.

Data also showed that nearly 14,000 people attended services at the cathedral during December, and more than 24,000 people visited in the week leading up to Christmas Day.

Visitor welcome manager Ros Gammie said: "It is wonderful not only for the cathedral, but the city as a whole to see these visitor numbers during the festive period, and we would like to thank everyone who has visited."

The cathedral also launched an appeal in November, aimed at supporting the cathedral's "promise of hope" at Christmas.

The appeal, which saw donations from more than 4,000 people, has so far raised £22,300, with gift aid still to be added.
