A man was found unconscious inside The Queen's Head on Christmas Eve and later died

A man has been charged with manslaughter after another man died on Christmas Eve.

The man was found unconscious inside The Queen's Head pub, in Willington, County Durham, at about 16:45 GMT. Paramedics treated him but he died at the scene.

Martin Ian Greensmith, 36, of Crook, who was arrested on Christmas Day, has been charged with manslaughter and was due to appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

Durham Police said inquiries were ongoing and asked anyone with information to come forward.
