Suffolk Police was called on Tuesday after a man was found with serious injuries in Haverhill

A man whose death is being treated as suspicious died from a crossbow injury, police have said.

Suffolk Police was called by the ambulance service just before 20:00 GMT on Tuesday after a man was found with serious injuries in Lordscroft Lane, Haverhill.

He later died and a post-mortem examination found his death was caused by a crossbow bolt.

A 61-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on police bail.
