A police drug detection dog missing in Aberdeenshire has been found.

Kilo was being exercised near Cairnie, Huntly, when he became unwell on Monday evening.

But when the four-year-old black and white spaniel came round, he ran off.

Police Scotland launched searches but later confirmed Kilo had been traced safe and well.

A force spokesperson added: "Officers would like to thank all those who shared the appeal and assisted."
